French Crepes celebration is coming soon! This year, try something else than pancakes…If you want to please all your family this February 2nd, youngest from oldest, prepare your crepes party from now! Here is the recipe and your grocery list!

Ingredients / Grocery list

  • Crepes preparation for sweet and salted crepes:
  • - 5 eggs
    - 1.1 lb flour / 500 grams
    - 4.2 lb milk / 500 ml
    - 4.2 lb water / 500 ml
    - 1 tablespoon oil
    - 1.3 lb beer / 150 ml

  • Sweet crepes preparation:
  • - 5 eggs
    - 0.9 lb flour / 400 grams
    - 0.2 lb sugar / 100 grams
    - 4.2 lb milk / 500 ml
    - 4.2 lb water / 500 ml
    - 1 tablespoon oil
    - a few drops of vanilla extract

  • Salted side:
  • - Ham
    - Grated gruyere and French cheese like camembert, goat cheese or reblochon.

  • Sweet side:
  • - Sugar, jam, strawberries
    - Honey, maple syrup
    - Nutella, chocolate

The recipe

  • Put half of the flour into a bowl, then add the eggs.
  • Stir together the ingredients very well and add the rest of the flour – and sugar if you chose the sweet version.
  • Add slowly milk, water, oil and beer by mixing well.
  • The crepes preparation is ready! If you have some time, let it rest for one hour.
